Your dreams to talk with your love ones has fulfilled with the invention of telephones and mobile phones. But always want to see the expression and face of the people with whom we are talking on phone. Telecom companies have fulfilled our dream by launching 3G in India. Now one can do video calls and wireless telephone with the launch of 3G in India and all through your mobile phones. The application also includes mobile internet access and mobile television.

We all want a high speed in our mobile phone internet but by more also it never satisfies our need. But now with the 3G you can use mobile internet, do video calls or use mobile television by thinking less about slow speed. It provides you high quality speed and doesn’t waste your precious time. First 3G was launched in Japan in 2001.after that it spread to other parts of the world like South Korea, Europe, United Kingdom, Austria, Australia, Singapore, etc.

India also entered in the world of 3G when India’s oldest and largest telecom company BSNL (bharat sanchar nigam limited) launches mobile and data services which are enabled by 3G. MTNL is the second company that launches 3G in India. Finally, in 2010 3G spectrum became nation wide. BSNL has more than 3 million customers in India of its 3G services. It is due to first company to launch 3G in India.

Private sector companies like reliance, Vodafone, idea, airtel also moving faster in this race of launching and increasing their 3G services. In around 700 cities 3G has its coverage. One of biggest reason of slow increasing pace of 3G services in India is its high cost. It is not reliable for most of the Indians to spend large amount of money to buy 3G handset. Due to which 3G Services has stick to richer section of society in India. But now with the decline in prices of 3G handsets it become possible that Indian can afford to buy 3G Handsets and can enjoy 3G services.

Also, private sector companies are facing problem to launch their 3G services as they are not able to get pan India license in 3G auction. Thus many private sector companies are lacking in launching their 3G services and only government owned companies like BSNL is able to launch its 3G services. Recently, in the 3G auction 183rounds are held and it is surprising that no operator won in all the rounds. Airtel, reliance, aircel has won 13 circles where as idea has won 11 circles. Vodafone and Tata lacks in the run by winning 9 circles.

But still the good news is that finally all the telecom companies are able to launch their 3G services and pan India license stood at 16,750 crores.
